Quest Ministries was established in 1998 by Palestine Baptist Church as an outreach to sports enthusiasts in the Smith Mountain Lake area and surrounding communities. The first event was a Wild Game Dinner attended by 120 sportsmen who participated in a meal and displayed their trophy mounts. The Wild Game Dinner has become very popular and with the addition of a Family Life Center in 2005, attendance has exceeded 700 people

During the event, Quest Ministries provides the bread, vegetables, desserts and drinks. The sportsmen provide the meat. Thousands of dollars in door prizes are awarded during the event. There have been numerous firearms and other miscellaneous items given as door prizes. Since the inception of the Wild Game Dinner, other sports activities have been held each year, i.e a Children’s Fishing Tournament, Golf Outing, Volleyball Tournament and Bow Shoot.

With the New Family Life Center, the sky is the limit and we look for new ways to attract sports enthusiasts in the community. All donations to Quest Ministries are tax deductible and sponsors will be provided with a receipt.
